Build a route of stops
Plan an efficient day across several barns, with travel notes, mileage, and travel fees.
A mobile day usually means several stops. Each stop is an appointment at a location; together they're your route for the day. decavet shows the day's stops in order and helps you track travel.
Prerequisites: your locations saved with addresses, so distances and the map work.
Plan the day
- In Calendar, create an appointment for each stop, each at its location and time.
- Open the day in the calendar to see your stops laid out in time order.
- Your dashboard's Today's schedule also lists the day's stops in order — handy to glance at between barns.
Travel notes, mileage, and fees
On each appointment you can record:
- Travel notes — gate codes, parking, road conditions.
- Mileage — distance to the stop, useful for expenses.
- Travel fee — a charge for the call-out, which can be added to the visit's bill. Your practice can set up automatic travel fees under Settings → Billing rules.
Running the route
As you go, open each appointment and move it through its statuses — En route when you set off, In progress on arrival, Completed when done. This keeps the office (and you) aware of where the day stands.
You'll know it worked when…
Your calendar and dashboard show the stops for the day in order, each with its location and time.
Tip: Save every barn as a Location contact with a precise address. That's what lets decavet measure distance and order your stops sensibly.
