Visit types
The kinds of visit your practice uses, and how to tailor the list.
A visit type labels what a visit is for. Choosing one when you add a visit keeps your records consistent and your reporting meaningful.
Prerequisites: none. Types are managed under Settings → Visit types.
The types decavet starts you with
Equine practices begin with a set tuned for horse work:
- Wellness Exam
- Lameness Exam
- Dental Float
- Vaccination
- Coggins Test
- Emergency
- Pre-Purchase Exam

- Follow Up
Customize the list
- Go to Settings → Visit types.
- Add a new type, rename one, reorder them, or hide ones you don't use.
- Save.
The seeded types can be tailored to your practice's language.
Using a visit type
When you add a visit to an appointment, pick the visit type from the dropdown. It appears on the visit and helps you scan a busy day at a glance.
